POSTER RAFFLE DRAWING: Three names will be drawn every other week starting this Friday! The winners will get a poster of their choice from the Scholastic Book Fair. To be eligible, you must not have any late fines or fees from the library.. Come to the library to enter the drawing.

Annual Canned Food Drive - December 5 - 19. Bring canned or non perishable food items to homeroom. Our goal is to reach 1 ton of food for the Bonner County Food Bank. The class to bring in the most pounds of food gets a party. Interested in playing basketball at SMS? Tryouts for traveling teams will not happen until December. Girls intramural will be from 2:45 - 4:15 M-F for two weeks. All girls are welcome to practice skills and get ready for the upcoming season! Boys intramural will start right after Thanksgiving break and go for two weeks. Please just make sure you have a sports physical on file with the office. That’s all you need to participate. Hope you see you there!

COSTA RICA TRAVELERS- We are meeting on Friday, November 9th, 2:30 - 3:30 in Mrs Marine’s room. Be sure to bring all the paperwork that we passed out last meeting along with a $200 check made out to Ecoteach. Bring a pencil and be ready to take notes in our journal that we will be making. Adios!

FROM THE LIBRARY: This is a reminder that students who have not taken care of their library fees and fines will not be able to attend the dance on October 31st. Late notices were delivered on Wednesday to all students who had a late book and/or a fine. Many students still have not turned in their late book, renewed their late book and/or paid their fine. It is your responsibility to check on your due date and make sure your library book is not late- this also includes books checked out from the library for English classes. Wrestlers. If you missed the meeting last week, please see Mr. Noble for information and paperwork to get eligible for our season. The first practice is Monday, October 22nd.
Mr. Noble and Mr. Fry are looking for a 7th grader who is interested in being a wrestling manager and stat-keeper. This person will be responsible for keeping track of scores and statistics during our wrestling matches and competitions. So you will travel with us when we compete. If you're interested in being a wrestling manager, please see Mr. Noble.
Reminder to students that during your lunch hour, you are not allowed in the halls. When you finish your lunch, you are to go outside and MAY NOT head to your locker to put things away.

Our first practice is on Monday, October 22nd. If you are considering being a Bullpups wrestler, plan on attending an informational meeting this Friday, October 12th, during both lunches. The 1st lunch meeting will be in Mr. Fry's classroom, and the 2nd lunch meeting will be in Mr. Noble's classroom. Get your lunch and head immediately to the meeting. An outdoor club? OIDFY, Outdoor Idaho Drug Free Youth club might be for you. OIDFY is a club at SMS that takes place during lunch time and meets 2-3 times a month. OIDFY wants to teach students outdoor recreation skills and wilderness survival skills, along with the importance of leading a drug free lifestyle. At the end of the school year, we hope to be able to have a weekend camp trip that encompasses everything we learn throughout the year. If you are ready to take part in an adventure with friends and meet new friends, then come to Mrs. Sparks' office on Tuesday, October 9th during your lunch period. Bring your lunch and a friend!
