If you are turning in a pride card for the drawing or ice cream make sure to put your name on it.  First and last name.


Candy, soda and sugary drinks are not allowed in the hallways or classrooms. Lunchtime ONLY!!!!


Cell phones are NOT to be used during the school day.  When you get to school they are to be turned off and stored in your locker and not brought out for any reason until the school day is over.


Students MUST have a pass to return to a classroom after lunch, and they may NOT go back to their lockers after lunch.  Go directly from the cafeteria/stage to outside.


Girls Basketball pizza party Thursday after school; 2:20 - 4:00.  Meet in the gym for a fun scrimmage and pizza afterword.  Please arrange for a ride to pick you up.  


Get ready for the March Madness Dance on March 3rd!  Wear your crazy socks and get ready for some fun and music in the gym.  Tickets will be on sale starting Monday, Feb. 27 from Tammy in the office.  Price is $3 or $2 if you show your ASB card.  You will not be able to purchase a ticket if you do not get your library fines paid THIS WEEK!  Glow bracelets will also be on sale the day of the dance.  See you there!


Library fines must be paid by Friday, February 24th,  in order to attend the Spring Dance on March 3rd.  Also, you need to pay your fines in order to check out additional books. Thank you

The winner of the weekly poster drawing in the library is LIAM MARKS!!!   Alright Liam!


Did you receive your Reading is the Ticket form from your English teacher?  You can earn a free ticket to Silverwood by reading 10 hours for fun!!!  The deadline to turn in the Tally Sheet is March 15th.  


In celebration of Dr. Seuss Day and general March Madness the students of SMS are invited to dress up on Friday, March 3, 2017. The best dressed student from each home room will compete for a prize in the library. Dress up categories are: Wacky and Wild Sock Hop Socks, Clash Dance (create an outfit which in no way shape or form matches) and Classic Seuss. Put on your 500 thinking hats and come up with some dynamic costumes which celebrate the love of reading!







Congratulations to Camille Neuder, who took 4th place overall in our Chapter MATHCOUNTS competition held at NIC, out of a field of 62 students from 7 North Idaho middle Schools.  Camille earns a trip to the state in early March where she will compete against the very best mathematicians in the State!  


Are you interested in playing soccer for the Spring season?  Registration forms for Sandpoint Rec League are available on the table by the office.  Registration deadline is March 15th.


End of the year 8th Grade Celebration

The 8th grade End of Year Celebration is at Silverwood Theme Park.  During the second semester, any student who is either failing two or more core classes (as reflected by their 2nd semester grades), has two or more school suspensions, or has excessive tardiness will not be eligible to attend the 8th grade End of the Year Celebration at Silverwood Theme Park.
