SMS News

Students MUST have a pass to return to a classroom after lunch, and they may NOT go back to their lockers after lunch.  Go directly from the cafeteria/stage to outside.


Congratulations to ASHTON BONNER!!  You won the weekly library poster drawing!!


There will be a meeting for all students interested in track at SMS on Tuesday March 21 in the SMS gym at 2:30. It should last about 15-20 minutes. All paperwork and questions will be taken care of at this meeting.Track season starts on Monday, March 27 at 2:20 in the gym. If you are interested please attend.


It's that time of year again!  Our end of the year school play is going to be "Princess Bride"!

If you are interested in being part of this exciting production, please join us for our first meeting next Wednesday, 3/22, in room 4, right after school!

We are looking for actors, actresses, and stage/costume/makeup/music production crew!

The meeting will last for approximately 1 hour.


Underground Kindness is partnering with professional photographer, Marsha Lutz, and the Teen Center to offer a FREE 4 week PhotoVoice class.  Whether you want to make art with your photos or make a stronger impact with Social Media - come, meet some new people and learn something new.  With support from 7B drug free, we will meet Mondays and Thursdays at 4pm at the Teen Center on the corner of Pine and Division.  Come early, grab a snack & join the fun!  Everyone is welcome.


The forestry contest is quickly approaching! The date is set for May 11, 2017 If you are interested in testing your knowledge of the forest and getting a free barbecue lunch, come see Mr. Lyon in room 7 by March 24th to sign up and get additional information. I hope to see you soon!


If you are interested in going to Summer Camp - Camp Fire is offering Day camp and Overnight camp for grades K-12.  The flyer is on the bulletin board by the counseling office.


End of the year 8th Grade Celebration

The 8th grade End of Year Celebration is at Silverwood Theme Park.  During the second semester, any student who is either failing two or more core classes (as reflected by their 2nd semester grades), has two or more school suspensions, or has excessive tardiness will not be eligible to attend the 8th grade End of the Year Celebration at Silverwood Theme Park.
